FACTORS THAT LESSEN ACCOUNTABILITY

The first factor is IGNORANCE, when we say ignorance,it is the absence of knowledge.  There are two kinds of ignorance, first one is the VINCIBLE IGNORANCE,it means lack of knowledge. The other one is INVINCIBLR IGNORANCE, thereare no way to obtain it. It cannot be removed by any amount of effort
The second factor is CONCUPISCENCE/PASSION , it is when emotion comes into the act when we are in sound mind. The third one is FEAR AND VIOLENCE, it will dragged and so tge freedom is restricted and responsibility is correspondingly diminished

HOW CAN JOURNALIST PRACTICE ETHICS IN THEIR FIELD

We all know that Ethics is the Moral Philosopy. As for journalist, they can practice ethics when their honesty is being tested. Like for example, a politician will give you money in return that you will only write things that will let their image good. Or someone's gonna give you money to wrecked other's image. As journalist they should know the right vs wrong

AS A JOURNALIST...

As a future journalist, my own principles are ALWAYS BE HONEST, EVEN IF OTHERS ARE NOT, EVEN OF OTHERS CANNOT EVEN IF OTHERS WILL NOT. This principle is what my parents imparted in me. Since we've became a member of BCBP, we are trying to do this. And my other principle is that, what I dont want to do to me, I should not do it to others. As per the golden rule says, DO NOT DO UNTO OTHERS, WHAT YOU DONT WANT OTHERS DO UNTO YOU. If I want everyoneto be niceto me, I myself should do it fir

WHY ARE THERE 2 TYPES OF NEWSPAPER?

Well, for me there are two types of newspaper because there are different kinds of readers. One that will patronize tabloid just to read about news and its cheap, while theother one that will choose broadsheet not just because they wanted to know the news but to broaden their knowledge

WHY IS THE NEWSPAPER INDUSTRY IS DYING?
For me, the newspaper industry is dying becauseof the conviency of the news. We  can just read news in the i ternet right after an event occured, we can just read an articlr right away. People nowadays depend too much on social media.
I think the solution for this (on my opinion) is to make the newspaper look interesting. Lets change its look, because the appearance look boring. And remind everyone that newspaper is the most reliable source of news

Communication, Ethics and Values

COMMUNICATION

This the act of transfering information by means of verbal, written, andnon-verbal signals
It is also known as a process between a sender and a receiver.

We all know that communication is really important in our society.

The elements of communication are
  • Sender- the one who sends the message
  •  Message- the information need to be transffered
  •  Channel/ Medium- where the message need to pass thru
  •  Receiver- the one who received the message
  • Feedback - a reaction or response

This is an example wherein we can see clearly the elements of communication

You and your bestfriend is having a phone call...
As you start talking and telling what you want to say, you are now playing the role of the sender, the phone is the medium, and my friend is the receuver, remember that the feedback may not be direct.

ETHICS

Ethics is also known as moral philosopy. According to wikipedia, eyhics involves systematizing , defending, and reccomending concepts of right wnd wrong behavior

As for my own understanding of ethics, ethics is the guideline of proper behavior on how we should communicate, and as communicators we should know the guidelines on how we should deal with communication

In every situation,we should apply ethics. Like when we are in a formal gathering, we are considering proper behaviors. We should act very firm as we can. We are presenting ourselves as good as we can.

VALUES

Values are the things that you believe are important in the way we live and work.
Values are imparted to us by those who influence us and by those we look up to.

For us Filipinoes, we have a lot of Filipino Values, like saying PO and OPO to the elders.

Decision making is something we do everyday, as we make and choose our decision we are depending on our beliefs and values we are standing for
